BiTKOO is an independent technology company based in Los Angeles, pioneering innovations in the identity and access management (IAM) market. BiTKOO’s mission is to provide access to data and systems across secured boundaries, with the highest degree of security and flexibility.
BiTKOO was founded by the lead architects and developers of Keystone, an authorization management engine, that was originated at The Walt Disney Company. In 2003, Disney’s IT executives realized that the available identity and access management software products did not fully address their needs, so their IT architects and developers set to work and developed their own solution, which created the first version of Keystone. In 2006, The Walt Disney Company licensed Keystone exclusively to BiTKOO.
BiTKOO has commercialized the product for the benefit of any size organization. Since commercializing Keystone, several new innovations have been developed to make it the only IAM solution capable of scaling to billions of users at a sub-second performance. While many vendors offer federated identity, no other solution on the market offers federated authorization - a key component of Identity Centric Architecture, and a must-have element for true Internet scalability.
